Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Turning is the most common form of CNC. Here at Aldersbrook Engineering we have extensive experience in CNC turning and operate a variety of CNC lathes. As such we are able to precision machine components from 2mm dia up to 600mm dia and lengths up to 1.5 metres.
As you would expect, we regularly undertake a broad cross-section of conventional lathe and CNC turning jobs including profiling, taper turning, screwcutting, straight turning, internal and external grooving and boring.
We work with a wide range of materials and produce high quality components from all types of stainless steel and aluminium, plus mild steel, tool steel, cast iron, bronze, lead, wood, perspex and all types of plastic.
Whether you require large or small batches or even prototypes we can meet all your CNC machining requirements. We specialise in the machining and turning of large component up to 1.5 meters long, as well as small bar feed multi axis parts.
In most cases we operate as lead contractor but are also often called upon to operate as a partner or subcontractor on larger or even small CNC machining jobs. In fact we are often called upon to provide advice or assistance with complicated jobs. In such cases our experienced team of engineers work with our partners to find the best solution.
Lathes in our workshop include:
Large lathes up to 500 mm diameter x 1.5m between centres.
Fanuc CNC Centre lathes to 500mm diameter x 750 mm between centres.
